Zumba with Asha 11:15 - 12:00 (Main Studio)
Zumba is a high impact group movement fitness class which incorporates simple and easy to follow choreography. It is primarily inspired by Latin rhythms, but I like to include a range of other genres too. You can expect the likes of reggaeton, salsa, drum and bass, merengue and dancehall. Having a fire playlist is everything because although it is a workout, it feels like a dance party!
For QJM this month I will lead a dynamic and empowering 45 minute class. It is suitable for all levels including beginners (prior dance experience isn’t necessary). In fact I highly encourage you to come join me whether you’re a zumba regular, seasoned home-only dancer, or a complete movement newbie. It does not matter as long as we are having fun together, and you leave smiling. Bring plenty of water and wear comfortable clothing you can sweat in. I look forward to dancing with you!
Relaxing Yin Yoga with Emily 12:00 - 12:45 (Main Studio)
A slow and gentle session - a fully trauma informed and invitational yin yoga class to facilitate and encourage embodied rest. Perfect for beginners to yin yoga and those who struggle to rest, as well as those who are seasoned yin practitioners.
Write to Your MP 12:45 - 13:30 (Cafe Creative Space)
Dip your toes into political engagement! In a facilitated crafts table session, choose from various letter or email templates, and get engaged. Whatever you care about, make your voice heard in your local constituency.
Tarot with Sam the Psychic All Day (Cafe Creative Space)
Sam is an intuitive tarot reader, divination practitioner and multimedia artist. They use tarot as a tool for their spiritual practice and introspection, to provide grounded guidance. They run monthly tarot workshops at The Cat House, read regularly at queer markets and events, and also offer private reading sessions. Affectionately named after their moniker, they are also founder of local film co-op Psychic Visions, and work freelance as a filmmaker and curator.
Sam will be offering 1:1 tarot reading sessions up to 15 minutes in length on a first come, first serve basis.
