QJM Mini's

For those who want to try a more low key session, introducing: QJM Mini's! 

 

Tickets start at £5 for three sessions! Create community, try new activities, dedicate time to your own self care in a space designed for you. 

 

Activities include: How to get started the gym workshop, needle felting workshop, intuitive yoga class

11:15 - 12:00 (Main Studio) The Gym: How To Get Started

 

If you have ever wanted to start going to the gym but didn’t know where to begin, this session is for you. We will cover everything from what to take with you and how to feel comfortable, to beginner-friendly exercises and staying motivated. You’ll leave with the confidence to take that first step, knowing that queer people belong in fitness spaces and that the gym can be a place to celebrate yourself.

 

12:00 - 12:45 (Cafe Creative Space) Needle Felted Images

 

Turn your hand to needle felting; turn fluff into a mini work of art. No skills needed, no defined outcomes, just having a go at making something for the joy of it and because you can. All equipment provided.

 

12:45 - 13:30 (Main Studio) Move Into You Yoga

 

In this exploratory and creative class, you’ll learn to step into power and agency. Rather than moving as instructed, you’ll be invited to explore what self led movement looks like. The container is not boundless - you will be led through a series of foundation shapes, and learn to build off them through explorations of different planes of movement, pace, and sensation. 

 

After building this framework of language, exploring the landscape of movement at your own pace, and beginning to notice the natural rhythms of your body and its energy, you’ll be gently guided towards the creation of your own short flow that you can take off the mat and into your own life.

 

This class is suitable for beginners, no yoga experience is required - you’ll be guided and held every step of the way. Journals and pens are encouraged but not required.
